Well, it was not much of a trip, I am sorry to say, although it was good to meet Tom Shepard in new York (who has plans for Nostradamus, the musical I orchestrated), and my old friend John Bird in London.

Later this month I am recording another solo piano CD for Tall Poppies. The repertoire will include Schumann's Toccata, Fauré's Ballade, all the Rachmaninoff Preludes opus 32 and the Liszt transcription of Mendelssohn's Wedding march and Elves' Dance from A Midsummer Night's Dream.

So I am practising a lot, as you can imagine!

One good thing I achieved in London was a verbal agreement to revise and republish my Folksongs For Band Suite No. 2 with another publisher. The copyright would be given back to me first. This has long been a difficult work to get hold of, and I hope it will be republished by Southern Music before too many years!
