This new page marks my return to Bass Trombone playing after a long absence. All the excerpts were recorded at my home on May the 8th and 9th, 2007, using a mini-disc player which barely managed the high end of dynamics! Each excerpt is a single take, as is the Bach Sarabande - no cheating - although I have grouped some of the shorter excerpts into a single file.
I recorded these partly for fun, partly because I have a new trombone to show off, and partly because some visitor might like my playing enough to offer me a job.
For those interested, my instrument is a Bach 50B with GREENHOE double valve (dependent) bell section. Mouthpiece is a Charles Vernon Schilke 60.
